First Annual Birdstack Blitz, 2025
On Thursday, April 17th, 2025 I restacked a picture of a bird on Substack Notes and felt a little bit better about the state of the world. I then asked others to share their birds with me, and was delighted when I received some wonderful depictions. When I offered to restack any and all birds shared, the number of birds both in the comment thread of the original Note and in my feed increased significantly. Ask, and the algorithm shall give you birds.
After a period of twenty-four hours, I determined it would be impractical to restack any and all depictions of birds indefinitely and in a fit of spontaneity declared the bird restack blitz simultaneously a competition and closed and promised to announce the winners. So, without further ado I am proud to present the results of the first annual Birdstack Blitz 2025!
