The title of this immediately caught my attention as I love swimming and the sea and yet sometimes I don’t feel at ease, I feel like something is gonna happen, like I can’t completely trust the water. Thank you for sharing this story, it’s so well written💗

Glad it resonated! After this experience I started to wonder how many of my recurring dreams are early memories. Thanks so much for reading, X.P.

Found, not by chance , in the current of convolutions your Deep Water rescues repeatedly surrounded by people that save you. Such is life. Th re are forces that are stronger than we realize. Your writing is the tip of iceberg that slowly melts away the mind boggles of drowning.

Richard, thanks for your insight! Yes, saved twice by others and in the original formative memory was nearly killed, and subsequently saved, by my father. I've always felt like writing is a way to keep my head above water so to speak! Thanks so much for reading.

We are peas in pod with underwater visions to explore the saving graces that allowed us to continue life to finish stories to be told. I met sun fish just above mud ten feet down.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. Rivers, lakes, the ocean - no joke. I live on a beach that translates as "beach of the dead" in Zapotec. My wife and I have witnessed numerous rescues. I've been a strong swimmer since the age of four but had some sketchy close calls learning to surf in very challenging currents in Southern Brazil. It's no joke. Amazing how your childhood trauma surfaced (yes, pun intended).
