Fascinating. Tell me more about the glyph?

As I was searching the internet for something that resembles the glyph I came across this article. These carvings (especially that second picture) are very similar to the carving in my dream, but triangular and upside-down. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/severe-drought-in-the-amazon-reveals-ancient-face-carvings-180983143/

The square-ish face? Interesting. I’m writing something where a character sees a glyph in a dream — also a face but more ornate: a woman’s profile, surrounded by leaves and holding her hand out. Like a pictogram/glyph from a Mayan stelae. But here’s the kicker, he sees it during a dream where he’s drowning. Maybe there’s a thread here worth pulling on…{strokes stubble on chin}

Yes the squarish face is very similar! Your story sounds compelling! I look forward to reading it :)

It is bizarre! I was a little creeped out when my husband told me about the shared dream.

Yes it's real! It's "creative nonfiction," meaning nonfiction with narrative elements. Similar to memoir, but not quite memoir.
