Author’s Note
Dear Reader,
Thank you so much for the incredible response to Part I of If I Had a Hammer last week. If you subscribed specifically for the conclusion, fear not! Part II is in the works and I hope to deliver it next weekend.
This week I’d like to share something particularly special to me. This improvisation is the first in what I intend to be a series of experimental sound studies. I’m so excited to give more attention to this facet of my creative life as I continue to share my poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction with all of you.
Love eternal,
Annie
Study I: Tension and Repetition
Thanks for listening!

That was worth the initial “okay just give it a minute…” I love how it feels like an exercise at first and then opens up into a landscape and you meet a new friend in there somewhere, buy a coke, stare up at the lights, wonder together who’s gonna die first, laugh at how dumb that is, and then you both walk home in an exalted loneliness. Maybe it stars snowing.
When will there be more music?
