Hah. Despite having lived there, and friends there, I give America a scolding over grammar, spelling, prismannunciation... and yet American performing artistes (of the 60s mostly) talk sense to me. Wossis to do with talking cars? Well, the fact you found poetry in something that I - and most people I know - scorn deeply. And mistrust. I'll take my chances with a doped up nutter in a truck before I cross in front of a driverless anything (includes horses, they have no brakes:).

So to get back to my non sequitir ramble, Ferlinghetti speaks volumes to me. Let's stick to one example, as I merely compare with how you speak (to me). Much as I pull people up over grammar (not policing the internet, thank you:), there is a way, an arrangement of words that perhaps suits my Irish logic, I think the word I seek is juxtaposition. And that includes the ideas or ways of seeing.

Ah, technology tidbits, laser printed marvels that spill coffee cups that never reach the ground floor for your morning wake up at work. Something more useful could be made. Back to the drawing board to brew another cup of coffee and think abut a new design.
